ABOUT

Gianna Vasquez Bartolini grew up in the DC Metro area to an Italian-American father and a Salvadoran mother. When she wasn't reading, she was dancing, singing, and performing around the house, the neighborhood, and later on, in community and school productions. In 2015, she was awarded the National Society of Arts and Letters award from Honors in Dance from the Kennedy Centre.

After receiving a BFA in Dance Performance from the State University of New York at Purchase College, Conservatory of Dance, she continued her studies in Integrated Music Theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.

Most recently, Gianna has appeared in The Gateway Playhouse's Evita, as well as been the Dance Captain and Swing for West Side Story at the Argyle Theatre, where she performed in both ensemble and supporting roles.

Besides performing and choreographing, she is a well-regarded dance teacher in the Tri-State area. Gianna is also the Scholarship Coordinator at Westchester Dance Artists, a nonprofit dance education organization based in Ossining, NY.

While Gianna is currently based in NYC,  she is frequently in DC performing with Olney Ballet Theatre, teaching workshops, or choreographing productions.
